Course Description
Beautiful Eugene OregonJoin us in the heart of beautiful Willamette Valley! This two-day course includes provider-level classroom training and classroom practice of the instructional tools found in MEDIC FIRST AID training programs. Successful completion of the course will make you eligible to train both providers and instructors using MEDIC FIRST AID programs.

In this course you will become comfortable with the practical use of the instructional elements found in MEDIC FIRST AID training programs. Upon completion of the course you become a MEDIC FIRST AID Facilitator and member of our International Registry. You immediately become eligible to purchase MEDIC FIRST AID Basic, Pediatric, AED Supplement, Emergency Oxygen Supplement, Infant/Child Suppliment, and Bloodborne Pathogens training programs.

Training Options
MEDIC FIRST AID Trainers are authorized to conduct Instructor and Provider level training courses.

MEDIC FIRST AID Instructors are authorized to conduct Provider level courses. If you choose the Instructor level you will still be eligible to become a trainer by simply paying the additional $250 fee within six months of your training date. No further class time will be required.

Current MEDIC FIRST AID Instructors may choose to upgrade to the Trainer level by attending this course.

Course Agenda
The MEDIC FIRST AID Trainer Course consists of two classroom days and a pre-course self-study.

Self-Study
Upon registration candidates will be mailed the MEDIC FIRST AID Facilitator Self-Study video and guide. This program takes 1-2 hours to complete and pre-course completion allows classroom time to be spent on providing and practicing the instructional tools necessary to run a successful MEDIC FIRST AID training program.

Classroom-Day One - (8am - 5pm)
Provider-level training in Adult, Child, and Infant first aid and CPR. Instruction in the use of an AED and emergency oxygen. Attendance is optional for current providers.

Classroom-Day Two - (8am - 5pm)
Provider-level training MEDIC FIRST AID Bloodborne Pathogens. MEDIC FIRST AID Trainer-Level training including performance evaluation of emergency care skills.

Meet the Instructor
Meet Corey AbrahamThe instructor for the Eugene courses is Corey Abraham. Corey is the Training Coordinator and in-house Master Trainer for MEDIC FIRST AID International. Corey, a certified EMT-Basic, has been employed by MEDIC FIRST AID for eight years. In addition to his training duties Corey is part of the development and program approval teams.
