Our Training Centers

Introducing the New Training Center Model

To provide Instructors and training organizations more flexibility and control of their training activities, MEDIC FIRST AID changed to a new Training Center model on January 1, 2008.  To offer MEDIC FIRST AID Training Programs, a company or individual must first establish a Training Center. There is no fee associated with becoming a Training Center.

If you were a MEDIC FIRST AID Instructor prior to January 1, 2008, please click here for information about the changes and benefits of the new Training Center Model.

There are two main types of Training Centers

  • Corporate – primarily provide training to employees to meet regulatory compliance requirements
  • Entrepreneurial – provide training to others on a fee-for-service basis

The Training Center structure provides our Corporate and Entrepreneurial Training Centers with benefits that will help meet their different needs.

How to establish a new MEDIC FIRST AID Training Center:

To establish a MEDIC FIRST AID Training Center, please do the following:

  • Submit a Training Center Application
    1. The application must be submitted by the Training Center Director—the person who will be responsible for all training activities conducted by the Training Center, and who is authorized to enter into agreements on behalf of the Training Center.
    2. You can download the forms at the bottom of this page. An online application will be available soon.
  • Submit a New Instructor Application for least one affiliated Instructor
    1. This Instructor can be the Training Center Director, who, if certified as an Instructor for another nationally recognized organization, can receive reciprocal Instructor authorization at the same time that the Training Center is created.
    2. Training Centers must pay the $25 two-year Instructor fee for their newly affiliated Instructors.
  • Purchase at least one Start-Up Kit for programs you plan to offer
    1. Training Centers may provide only those programs for which they have purchased the appropriate Instructor Start-Up Kit, regardless of the Instructor authorization of affiliated Instructors.
    2. To purchase Instructor Start-Up Kits, please visit our Online Store, or call Client Services at 1-800-800-7099.

The Training Center Director is responsible for maintaining copies of all Instructor certifications and for distributing MEDIC FIRST AID Instructor cards to affiliated Instructors. Training Centers must keep applications and all pertinent documentation on file for each Instructor. To complete the application process, download the following forms and submit them to MEDIC FIRST AID:
