This manual is for school personnel who might have to respond to a medical emergency in the school environment
Responding to Student Injury and Illness is a guidebook intended to help school personnel respond safely and appropriately to common injuries and illnesses until parents, first aid trained staff, health professionals, or emergency response personnel arrive. Illness and injury topics are listed in alphabetical order on tabbed pages for quick reference. Each topic details what to “Look for,” “Listen for,” and what “Action” to take when responding. The guidebook is packaged in a three-ringed binder, allowing schools to personalize the manual by inserting specific policies and procedures.
MEDIC FIRST AID has long promoted children's safety. We first introduced the MEDIC FIRST AID Pediatric course in 1988. This program is used throughout the United States and in many foreign countries.
