January 9, 2004: For immediate release
Eugene, Oregon - Early success and enthusiasm for Medic First Aid International's Training Center recognition program bodes well for the program's expansion in 2004. Created to acknowledge independent businesses that offer Medic First Aid training, the program debuted at the October 2003 Medic First Aid conference in Portland, Oregon. Over 50 businesses signed on as members in the first two days.
Independent training organizations that meet certain eligibility requirements can sign up at one of three Training Center levels: Gold, Silver, or Training Center. These levels share a number of benefits, including a level-specific Training Center Certificate, promotional materials, and a customized Medic First Aid Training Programs preview video. The Training Center recognition program emphasizes an aggressive yet straightforward sales and marketing approach. Medic First Aid wants its member training organizations to take advantage of the company's multiple resources.
"We wanted to strengthen our partnership with our independent training organizations," said Bill Clendenen, president of Medic First Aid. "The Training Center recognition program will do two things: It will help us identify and assist organizations actively committed to growth and success, and it will be a powerful marketing tool. We recognize that our success is directly linked to the success of our clients."
Further benefits include:
- Higher placement on the Medic First Aid online referral list
- Press release templates
- Logos and pictures for advertising use
- Microsoft PowerPoint presentations to introduce Medic First Aid Training Programs to potential customers
- How to Sell Medic First Aid Services and Products sales kit
- Significant discounts on the Medic Health & Safety programs, Philips AEDs, and Life oxygen products
An organization's Training Center level is based on the depth and breadth of the Medic First Aid Training Programs offered. Every level benefits from an enhanced community profile and access to new marketing techniques and tools. "What we're trying to provide is an opportunity for independent businesses to take their marketing to a new level. In return, Medic First Aid benefits by an increased presence and brand awareness within the training market," noted Bill Rowe, paramedic and manager of training programs at Medic First Aid.
In addition to independent training organizations, the Training Center recognition program offers National Training Center status for multi-site businesses. These training organizations must have a physical presence in at least four of six identified geographic areas.
