July 31, 2003: For immediate release
Eugene, Oregon - Medic First Aid International, Inc. today announced the release of a new set of business and industry health and safety programs. Featuring over 20 titles, the Medic Health & Safety collection addresses specific workplace safety and compliance issues and applicable OSHA compliance regulations. The programs were created in response to rising workers' compensation costs, increased lost workdays due to on-the-job injuries, and complex OSHA regulations.
Each program helps ensure OSHA compliance in the workplace, with fully-scripted programs featuring videos, complete OSHA guidelines, and required written materials. Designed for the experienced safety officer and the complete novice, the programs offer step-by-step instructions for trainers.
"Medic Health & Safety programs are easy to use," said Bill Clendenen, president of Medic First Aid. "Since there's no skill training involved, you don't need prior safety knowledge or experience to teach any of the programs. They cover only what you need to know, saving you time while contributing to a healthier, safer work environment."
Noting a definite need in the workplace for an employee training program like Medic Health & Safety, many Medic First Aid Facilitators have expressed interest in the new programs. According to CEO Chris Bennett, recent surveys indicate "over 50% of our Facilitators had a high interest in or would definitely purchase these OSHA compliance programs."
Program titles include Accident Investigation, Hazard Communication, Preventing Slips, Trips, and Falls, Machine Safeguarding, and Emergency Preparedness. Medic First Aid has partnered with Minnesota-based Comprehensive Loss Management, Inc. (CLMI) to introduce Medic Health & Safety to its customers. CLMI is an award-winning producer of educational programs, with over 40 years of OSHA compliance and safety management experience.
Programs may be purchased individually, as a complete set, or in combinations relevant to workplace demand. Some programs available closed captioned, with many titles also available in Spanish. Contact Medic First Aid at 800-800-7099 to request a product catalog or to order.
