Medic First Aid Foundation® has contributed to two research programs that support resuscitation science.
Medic First Aid Foundation has donated $5,000 to the Safar Center for Resuscitation Research. The contribution is earmarked for CPR research. The Center's scope of research encompasses all aspects of resuscitation medicine. The Center, whose website is www.safar.pitt.edu, is part of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
In addition, Medic First Aid Foundation has donated $1,000 to the National Center for Early Defibrillation (NCED). Located at the University of Pittsburgh, NCED is a not-for-profit information resource center dedicated to improving survival from sudden cardiac arrest through public and professional education, advocacy and research. It is affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh and the Center for Emergency Medicine of Western Pennsylvania. The website for NCED is www.early-defib.org.
